Leading roles in

Hi, I'm Sophia
For over 25 years I've worked in the performing arts industry, performing in some of the West End's most iconic productions and helping performers develop their skills both on and off the stage.
I've experienced the excitement of landing dream roles, the nerves that come before auditions and the challenges that come with building a career in this industry.
That's why I created The Musical Mentor.
My goal is to help performers build strong foundations, not just vocally, but mentally too. Because confidence, resilience and self-belief are just as important as talent.
Whether you're a parent looking for singing lessons for your child, a student preparing for auditions, a graduate finding your feet in the industry or a professional performer looking for support, I'd love to be part of your journey.
How I Can Help
Summer Musical Theatre Workshops
Train with West End professionals currently performing in productions including Hamilton, Matilda, Les Misérables and Mary Poppins.
Our two-day Lights Up! workshops combine acting, singing, dance and performer mindset to help young performers build confidence, develop new skills and shine on stage.
Choose the workshop that's right for your child's age group below.
Opening September 2026:

A six-week confidence and mindset programme for young performers aged 9–16.
Created by West End performer and mindset coach Sophia Ragavelas, The Magic Door helps young performers build confidence, manage nerves and develop the mindset they need to thrive both on and off the stage.
Over six inspiring Sunday sessions, students will explore The Magic Door™ technique through performance, coaching and practical mindset tools, finishing with a final showcase.
The programme helps young performers to:
-
Build genuine confidence
-
Manage nerves and self-doubt
-
Develop resilience and self-belief
-
Feel they belong in the room
-
Grow as performers and as people

What Our Clients Say

Shirley Ballas
Dancer and Judge on Strictly
“Thank you Sophia for the acting skills you gave me when I did panto, Jack & the Beanstalk. I don’t think I could have done it actually without Sophia’s help. She was thorough, she was accurate, she showed me the ropes & since then i’ve gone on to do 3 more pantomimes. Thank you Sophia for all the help you gave me.”

Tom Senoir
Gaston in London’s Beauty and The Beast
“Various experiences in the past 3 years had lead me astray and thrown me off what I would say were my happy, positive times. I had built new patterns in my head which were taking me down the same roads & having the same frustrations. Sophia showed me the other road and ways to stay there. Sophia is like a best friend who tells you what you need to hear.”

Maria Crawford
Dancer for Creative Studio by Norwegian cruise liners.
“Sophia is a ray of sunshine, and her infectious mentality helped me bring so much positivity into my life! I learnt so much, realised so much about myself, and honestly feel that I now live my life with a much more positive outlook every single day”.

Ivy-Rae Battams
West End Performer
"I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to Sophia for helping me believe in myself. I used to get really nervous and worried about auditions, and I would doubt if I was good enough. She has taught me how to calm my nerves, think positively and be confident in who I am. We’ve also worked on strengthening my voice, and I’ve noticed such a big change since using her techniques.
